According to The Rocky Mountain News, former Congressman Scott McInnis has formally had a wilderness area named after him. Here's the scoop on McInnis Canyons National Conservation Area:
This 122,300-acre expanse of sandstone canyons, high desert wilderness and 24-mile stretch of the Colorado River west of Grand Junction has been renamed for a former Colorado congressman who sponsored the bill to create it five years ago.
If McInnis does decide to run for governor, how will this affect campaign laws? Could the other candidates claim "equal time" and require that they get their own wildlife areas named after them? Rutt Bridges Canyon? Marc Holtzman River?
For Peggy Lamm: Peggy's Peak. Rollie Heath Road would take you up one side of the peak, and Bill Owen's Bridge would take you down the other side. Depending on which way you look from Peggy's view either Bill's Bridge or Rollie Road look like good options.

How about Little Ed's Peak. It's really, really short, but over developed.

Here are a few more:
Rubenstein's Ravine (rename the black canyon of the gunnison for his campaign)
Paccione's Prairie (you could rename the Pawnee national grassland, which is perfect since it is headquartered in Fort Collins but has offices in Boulder, Idaho Springs, Granby and Greeley)
Wes McKinley's buffalo chip preserve and toss (he is very good and saying and passing the you know what!)
And finally, you could rename the Hubbard Cave to Mark Holtzman's "Mystery Hole" since, well, you never know what is down there.

The law on unintended consequences strikes again, already the former Colorado Canyons is being referred to by the bike riders and hikers as "The McCanyons."
