who is this news to? Tipton's the man, he's been working the district for months and hopefully he'll have the money to keep everyone else out. He definately has the support from DC

Good luck to Tipton. He seems to be a decent sort - fairly unknown except for the fact he makes nice pottery.

I have serious doubts, however, that he'll be able to overcome Salazar's war chest and built-in fundraiser, little bro Ken.

I was excited by news last week that Jane Norton might give it a whirl - that would be great! I have much more confidence in her ability to raise money and connect with voters across CD3 than Tipton.

That Norton thing didn't pan out... Jane doens't want to run for congress - as much as everyone else seems to want her to do it.

Figured as much about Jane. Too bad the best candidates always seem (anecdotally) to be the ones that don't run.

A really good candidate for CD3 would be Russ George.

I doubt he's interested, but he would be my choice.

He turned DNR around after Walcher messed things up. If Russ doesn't run for the 3rd, I hope the next Guv is smart enough to leave George where he is.

Rule # 387 in the GOP's "How to be a candidate for US Congress": (In re: Russ George) Guys who just got DUIs don't run for congress. That way they save embarrasment and they get to drink more.

The DUI was years ago. Russ is an effective leader and really decent guy. I'd love to see him run.
